A bad toothache can cause you a lot of pain and bother you while sleeping or eating. It can pretty much affect all your daily activities and give rise to multiple other issues like headache, fever, swollen gums etc.

5 Home Remedies For Toothache

Here are five home remedies that can provide relief in case of a toothache. Always remember to consult an expert if the pain persists.

Apply Some Clove Oil

Clove oil contains a chemical known as eugenol which acts as an antibacterial agent.

According to lifestyle blogger Pratibha Pal, cloves attack disease-causing bacteria, while leaving the good bacteria unaffected.

Take a cotton swab or ball and put a few drops of clove oil on it. Put that cotton swab on the affected area for 5-10 minutes. Repeat this process after every 2-3 hours.

Rinsing your mouth with saltwater can help in clearing the debris stuck in cavities and between teeth.

If you have bleeding gums along with a toothache, take a little bit of asafoetida (hing) and mix it up with a little bit of water and lemon juice, says Kavita Devgan.
