Rishi Kapoor Cancer-Free, Reveals Rahul Rawail in Facebook Post

Reports say he is waiting for an “all-clear on his health status” before he returns to Mumbai.

Filmmaker Rahul Rawail revealed in a Facebook post that Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor is now cancer-free.

Filmmaker Rahul Rawail revealed in a Facebook post that Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor is now cancer-free. According to media reports, Kapoor had flown to New York seven months ago for treatment of an undisclosed disease. The social media post seems to suggest it was indeed cancer, but the actor is now free of it.

Kapoor, who was undergoing treatment in the Unites States (US), was earlier quoted saying that he is “much better now and is looking forward to working again.” He reportedly left for his treatment in September last year.

Earlier this month, Deccan Chronicle reported that he’s almost done with his medical procedure, is on the road to recovery and is waiting for an “all-clear on his health status” before he returns to Mumbai.

The publication quoted Kapoor as saying:

Looking forward to working again. I am much better now. Many people have been constantly inquiring. Sanjay Dutt, for example, has been in touch regularly. Actually more than me, it is my wife Neetu whom everyone messages about my health.

Beginning of the year, actor Neetu Kapoor had posted a picture with husband Rishi and the rest of the family, including Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhat. The caption read “Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign.”

This sent rumours flying that she may be hinting at Rishi Kapoor’s undisclosed disease to be cancer.
