Dangal’s Zaira Wasim, the young Kashmiri girl who played the younger Geeta Phogat had put up a social media post on Monday afternoon, apologising for hurting people and requesting that she not be seen as a role model by the Kashmiri youth.

Though Zaira later deleted her post from Instagram, the media had already picked it up and there was widespread speculation about what exactly lead the young girl to put up the open letter online.

It is believed that Zaira’s meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, kicked off a spate of hate messages on Facebook aimed at her and the trolls included Muslim radicals who attacked Zaira for having done the un-Islamic deed of acting in a film.

Here’s a look at the vile messages that Zaira had to suffer online, which probably pressurised her to put up that open letter on Instagram.
