The trailer of Meghna Gulzar’s film Talvar reveals the murky story behind the Aarushi Talvar murder case.

The trailer of Meghna Gulzar’s Talvar has reopened the Aarushi Talvar double murder case in our collective psyche once again. Though the film is set to release on October 2nd, 2015, the curiosity around what has probably been one of the murkiest criminal cases the county has seen in the last decade, is steadily rising. The film’s stellar cast is bound to send chills down our spine.

While Irrfan Khan plays the investigating officer, Nupur Talvar is played by Konkona Sensharma. Neeraj Kabi plays the part of the grieving father, Rajesh Talvar and Tabu takes on the role of Aarushi’s aunt. The names of the characters in the film have been changed but the references to the real case are aptly clear.

While the trailer does give glimpses of how the murder case was handled and investigated, it doesn’t reveal the stand that the film takes on the case itself. The film has been written by Vishal Bhardwaj.

The film is eagerly awaited by all and the audience is hoping that it will shed some light on what really happened.
