Rocky, one of the greatest boxing films has a spin-off now. And it’s called Creed. Of course, if you’re a fan of the original film series (the 6 before Creed) you already know where the movie gets its name.

If you remember, Apollo Creed, Rocky’s one-time nemesis – later friend – died in the boxing ring. The boxing gloves have now been handed to Apollo’s son, portrayed by actor Michael B. Jordan (Fantastic Four).

This is the first time Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa will not be the central character in a film in this series. But fans needn’t fear – Balboa takes on the role of a mentor to Jordan’s Adonis Creed, so you’ll still see plenty of him.

Creed is scheduled to release on November 25 this year.
