Vanessa Hudgens went on with her ‘Grease: Live’ performance, hours after losing her father to stage four cancer.

Hours before Vanessa Hudgens took the stage to perform as Rizzo in Grease: Live, she tweeted about her father’s death.

The 27-year-old actress announced that her beloved father, Greg Hudgens, lost his battle with cancer on January 30. Hudgens also dedicated her performance in the Grease: Live TV musical special on January 31 to his memory.

Fellow actors showed their support to Hudgens and commended her for her performance.

The actress revealed her father had been diagnosed with the disease last August. In addition to the actress, Greg is survived by his wife Gina Hudgens and their other daughter, 20-year-old Stella.
