Who’s Starring in the Remake of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’? Here’s Our Guess
Upon hearing rumours of ‘Dil Chahta Hai 2’ in the offing, we decided to cast for the remake of the iconic film.
Dil Chahta Hai, one of Bollywood’s most iconic ‘buddy’ films just completed 15 years of its theatrical release. It’s still close to our hearts and we quote from it all the time too. No wonder the idea of a remake or sequel sounds so exciting. We even heard rumours that Farhan Akhtar is cooking up a surprise. But while we wait to find out what’s really happening, here’s our guess of who will be starring in Dil Chahta Hai 2.
Whether or not Dil Chahta Hai 2 is in the offing, here’s who we would cast in it-
- Alia Bhatt replaces Preity Zinta
- Radhika Apte replaces Sonali Kulkarni
- Ranbir Kapoor replaces Akshay Khanna
- Ranveer Singh replaces Aamir Khan
- Varun Dhawan replaces Saif Ali Khan
We think this star cast would be the best fit for a modern take on yaari-dosti coupled with road trips and the search for true love!
Curiously, when Farhan Akhtar was asked about his intention to remake the original or announce a sequel, the actor-producer-director did NOT say a conclusive ‘no’. So we’ll keep guessing and hoping.
