Two Day Festival to Commemorate Smita Patil’s Birth Anniversary

The National Film Archives of India will pay tribute to the iconic Smita Patil with a film festival of her films.

A two day festival of Smita Patil’s films, posters and photographs will be held in Pune.

The National Film Archive of India (NFAI) has organised a two-day festival of Smita Patil’s films titled ‘Remembering Smita’ to commemorate the actress’ 60th birth anniversary.

Apart from films featuring Smita Patil, the festival will also exhibit a rare poster collection from her films and and photographs of the actress from the NFAI collection.

The festival is scheduled to be inaugurated on October 17 by Amol Palekar.
