NBC has released clips from the premiere episode of A Little Late With Lilly Singh, their new late night talk show hosted by super popular YouTuber Lilly Singh. The 30 year-old Canadian actor, comedian, author and social media sensation is widely known by the moniker of Superwoman. The first episode of A Little Late With Lilly Singh aired late on Monday night 16 September in the United States.

As is usual with late night shows, Lilly is seen doing a topical stand-up segment before moving on to interviews. In the first episode, Lilly deals with the fact that she is the first woman of colour to host a major late night show on American TV.

Later on, Lilly invited on stage her first guest on the show, actor Mindy Kaling. Mindy, who is also of Indian decent, played a game with Lilly and then delved into her part on the hit sitcom The Office. Mindy contemplated how the beloved comedy series, which ended in 2013, would be different today.

Watch their chat below.

Earlier, Lilly has spoken at length about the significance of being one of the few women ever to host a US talk show.

“I feel like my presence has become much larger than myself now. Previously, all my accomplishments have been surrounded around me, they have been about me or a milestone I set on my channel or otherwise my life. But this, I feel is bigger than me. It’s about a glass ceiling being shattered. I felt an overwhelming amount of support with this particular announcement, more so than I have with for anything else in my life. So, I do feel like I am being lifted up by so many people. It has been a sweet feeling,”
