‘Nation Wants to Know’ on Republic TV: Old Wine in New Bottle?
Republic TV to come up with a new show titled ‘Nation Wants to Know’.
You may soon hear Arnab Goswami use his signature phrase – ‘Nation Wants to Know’ on national television again. Republic TV made an announcement of Arnab Goswami’s new show titled ‘Nation Wants To Know’ through a post on their official Facebook page.
The phrase popularised by Goswami on his show with the channel Times Now has always been the bone of contention. Earlier this year, the Times Group had served a legal notice to Goswami over the use of the phrase ‘Nation Wants To Know’ on his own channel Republic TV.
Without naming the media house that had sent him the legal notice, Goswami had posted a 3-minute audio clip, revealing that he had been served with a six-page legal notice threatening him with imprisonment if he used the phrase.
A response from the Times Group over the launch of the show is awaited.
