Don’t Seek Publicity in Pratyusha’s Name: Rahul Raj to Kamya

Pratyusha never told me about a shoot, says boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.

TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, best remembered for playing Aanandi in Balika Vadhu, is back in the spotlight as a new feud emerges between her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh and close friend, actress Kamya Punjabi.

Singh has accused Punjabi, who is releasing a short film titled Hum Kuch Keh Naa Sakey this Saturday online, of seeking publicity in Pratyusha’s name. The actor had reportedly worked on the film, which mirrors her real-life heartbreak, one-and-half months before her alleged suicide on April 1 last year.

According to a report by Mid-Day, Singh says Pratyusha shot for no such film.

They say they shot the film one-and-a-half months before she passed away. Pratyusha never told me about a shoot. I have her handwritten diary in which she wrote her daily schedule. There is no mention of this film. I would like to know the exact dates and location of the film’s shoot.

According to him, the film has been put together with visuals from various points in time.

If you see the promo, it shows a chubbier Pratyusha. This was how she looked two years ago when she had gained weight. Instead of garnering publicity in her name, let her rest in peace.

According to Kamya however, the film is her way to seek “justice for Pratyusha”.
