The news of CID going off air may have thrown scores of fans of the show into despair— and even spawned a petition on Change.org — but keep calm, because Daya will be back breaking down doors on ACP Pradyuman’s command before you know it. Sony TV has clarified that the show is not ending, but going on a hiatus starting 28 October.

While we wait for the reboot, here’s a look at how the cast has changed since the show aired in 1998.

Aditya Srivastava is Senior Inspector Abhijeet on CID.

Narendra Gupta portrays the role of Dr Salunkhe. 

Dr Salunkhe (Narendra Gupta) has plummeted into a mid-life crisis and is now channelling Ranveer Singh’s character in Finding Fanny.

Dinesh Phadnis has played Inspector Fredricks since the start of the show.

Meanwhile, Inspector Fredricks (Dinesh Phadnis) has been busy keeping hair dye companies in business for the past 10 years.

Shraddha Musale has played Dr Tarika on CID since 2007.

She may have clocked 10 years on the show, but Dr Tarika (Shraddha Musale) has clearly found the elixir to eternal youth.
