Just as the Hindi version of the reality show Bigg Boss is about to premiere on Colors, Bigg Boss Tamil wrapped up with a grand finale on Saturday night. All the contestants, except Namitha, made an appearance on the show with host Kamal Haasan for the finale. However, the big surprise on the show was the winner himself - Aarav, who has been infamous on Bigg Boss Tamil for his ‘maruthuva mutham’ (kiss to heal) and his attitude towards Oviya, one of the popular contestants on the show.

While housemate Ganesh Venkatraman was the hot favourite to win Bigg Boss Tamil, it was Aarav who walked away with the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. Viewers were disappointed that Ganesh was among the first to be eliminated on the show on Satuday. The runner-up on Bigg Boss Tamil was Snehan, while Harish took the third spot.
