Big B Celebrates B’Day on KBC, Gets a Heartwarming Surprise
Amitabh Bachchan turns 77 on 11 October.
As Amitabh Bachchan turns 77, the actor will be celebrating his birthday on the sets of his most famous television quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is currently airing on TV. To mark his birthday, legendary sarod player Ustad Amjad Ali Khan will be making a guest appearance on the show. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, along with sons Amaan and Ayaan, will unveiled a special rendition titled ‘Raag Harivansh Kalyaan’, which is made in the memory of Big B's late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
But that’s not all. Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday is also coinciding with International Girl Child Day. To mark this special dual celebration, the guests on the show for the day will be paralympic Indian athletes Deepa Malik and Manasi Joshi.
In a promo of the episode shared by the makers, Amitabh Bachchan welcomes Deepa and Manasi. He is then surprised with an old clip which features a young Amitabh Bachchan and his father Harivansh Rai. The clip instantly makes him nostalgic as he says, “These people make me so emotional sometimes. It has been years since my parents have passed away.. Now, after watching this, I just don’t feel like playing.
Deepa Malik then surprises him further by inviting Amjad Ali Khan and his sons. Amitabh Bachchan’s face looks delighted.

On presenting the raag to Big B, Amjad Ali Khan says,"We have seen how Amitji has taken care of his parents selflessly till their last breath, with utmost respect and love. Therefore, we knew how happy he would feel dedicating this musical rendition to his father.
