Salman the Mamma’s Boy
As a child I remember, when mom used to go out, I used to hold on to her pallu and run behind her crying. I had another habit, mom used to feed me yellow daal and chawal. I stopped eating that the day that she stopped feeding me that with her own hands.

Salman’s Mom on His Driving Skills
Here’s an excerpt from a really fun part of the interview, about Salman’s driving skills-
Salma Khan: I don’t sit with him when he is driving.
Salman: Why don’t you sit with me when I am driving mamma? You are giving a wrong impression about my driving.
Salma Khan: No, it’s not that. Salman doesn’t like stopping at traffic signals. He zig zags from here to there, I feel dizzy.
Salman: You know that I have an accident case on me, and this not the right thing to say on the show? Whenever she sits beside me, she starts chanting Ram Ram Ram Ram, even beside Sohail and Arbaaz.
“Salman Gets Beaten Up as He Takes Everybody’s Blame on Himself”
Salma Khan: He likes to take every body’s blame on himself. Like, we had just got a new car. These boys wanted to go out partying so they asked for the car, but daddy didn’t give them permission
Salman: Here you go, listen to another accident story.
Salma Khan: Arbaaz took the car and banged it at our building gate only. They were so scared to tell their father.
Salman: We parked it in such a way that it cannot be seen, but a cousin of ours came and told my dad. That’s it! Dad came running and then beat us up.
Salma Khan: He told Arbaaz ‘you don’t say anything’, because he didn’t have a license, and Salman took the beating for Arbaaz.
Salman’s Mom Breaks Down
Salma Khan: I can never forget that day when I went to meet him in Thane jail (Breaks down)
Salman: Arre mamma! This is a very Maharashtrian family thing.
Salma Khan: I am happy that he has taken it very well.
Salman: You thought Thane was bad. You should have seen Arthur Road and Jodhpur (laughs)!
Salman’s Can Never Say ‘No’ to His Mom
Salma Khan: On Saturdays and Sundays, there is so much crowd in front of the house. Naturally, the residents of the building face problems, there’s always a traffic jam. The police comes and tells me to ask Salman to come out and wave once. So, if he’s at home I request him to come and wave once.
Salman: But daddy says don’t go.
Salma Khan: Ya, daddy says if you do that, they will keep coming every day.
