‘The Mummy’ Promises Tom Cruise, Monsters And High-Octane Action

Let’s hope the film matches up to the original franchise starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz.

The trailer of Tom Cruise’s much-awaited The Mummy is out. While loyalists of the old franchise might find it resembling a regular Hollywood horror flick meets Mission: Impossible, the trailer does pack in a feisty punch. Starting with a terrified Tom Cruise trying to hold on to dear life in a plane - which was transporting the mummy - the trailer goes on to show the mummy return to a contemporary setting with Sofia Boutella as the monster princess.
