23 years ago today, Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe in 1994.

21 May 1994. That’s the day, 18-year-old Sushmita Sen created history as she was crowned Miss Universe. 23 years later, Sush has achieved much and carved a niche for herself.

The first Indian Miss Universe took to social media to thank all the people who helped her attain her dream.

The party begins! It’s 23 years tomorrow of YOU making me believe every moment of every year that the universe truly conspires in my favour.
