1. King Khan Had a Gala Time on Comedy Nights Bachao!

Apart from entertaining everyone on Comedy Nights Bachao, superstar Shah Rukh Khan had a good time on the reality show himself. The actor was seen romancing all the ladies in his trademark style. He said his famous lines from Jab Tak Hain Jaan to Bharti Singh, Shruti Seth and Pooja Bose at the same time.

2. SRK Not Happy With Media Coverage of the Kolkata Flyover Collapse

In an interview published in the Mid-Day, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan expressed his concerns about the electronic media coverage of the Kolkata flyover collapse, which took 24 lives and left many injured.

In Kolkata, 22 people have died after the crash. The first feeling for every human being after hearing that is sadness...And the thought that those poor people were just like you and me. But the electronic media won’t let that feeling stay with us for even 40 seconds, because from then on, they have moved on to politicise it, to talk about the prospect of a bomb blast and in the meanwhile, we have all forgotten about those 22 victims, and are busy thinking about whose mistake it is. By the end of the day, it has become something else altogether. We are becoming feelingless in our search for heroes, villains and sensational stories. I watch news shows, so I have stopped watching fiction now.

3. Surprisingly, Ki & Ka Had a Decent Opening Weekend

R Balki’s Kareena and Arjun Kapoor starrer Ki & Ka had a decent opening weekend at the box office despite the harsh words that the film got from most critics. The audience ignored the not-so-flattering reviews and went ahead to give the film a chance. According to BoxofficeIndia.com, on opening Friday the film collected Rs 7.25 Cr, picked up business on Saturday with Rs 8.25 Cr and Sunday turned out to be the winner at Rs 9.25 Cr, taking the film’s total earnings on day 3 to Rs 24.75 Cr. Well, it seems film goers were waiting for something unconventional to come their way.

4. Vishal Dadlani Sings The Jungle Book’s Popular Song

Disney India is leaving no stone unturned to push the India release of their upcoming extravaganza The Jungle Book. Now the studio has collaborated with music director Vishal Dadlani for the Hindi rendition of the iconic track The Bare Necessities, in the desi version of Jon Favreau’s all new live-action epic adventure, The Jungle Book.

I had mixed emotions when Disney approached me to sing Baloo’s <i>‘The Bare Necessities’ </i>for the Hindi version of their upcoming film <i>The Jungle Book.</i> It’s a privilege that I can be part of such a timeless song, but the original has been so hugely popular and hummable, that matching that standard seems like a daunting task. I really hope people like my version of <i>The Bare Necessities.</i>

The Bare Necessities featured Mowgli and Baloo, the friendly bear in Disney’s 1967 animated original The Jungle Book. It was penned by Terry Gilkinson and was even nominated for an Academy Award for ‘Best Original Song’ way back in 1967. The song wasn’t just a happy melody, but a wonderful mantra for life, which makes it a hit. The Jungle Book releases in India on April 8th, a week before its US release.

5. Priyanka To Have Dinner at the White House

With the kind of coverage Priyanka Chopra enjoys across the United States for Quantico, it’s pretty evident that she’s currently one of the most popular faces on American television right now. That’s probably why she’s getting the chance to set foot in the White House! Yes, that’s true. Priyanka has been invited to the annual White House Correspondents’ dinner that will be attended by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. The actress will be accompanied by other prominent faces from the world of entertainment including Bradley Cooper, Lucy Liu, Jane Fonda, and Gladys Knight. Now, that’s seriously cool PeeCee!

6. SRK Will Start Off Kapil Sharma’s New Show With a Bang!

Finally, it is confirmed that SRK will be flagging off our funny man Kapil Sharma’s television comeback. The promo of The Kapil Sharma Show with the superstar is out and it is hilariously clever. The 23rd April episode promises to be a full of crazy antics and we love seeing Kapil and SRK together. The promo is a competition of sorts between the two dapper stars, and finally Mr Sharma agrees to play chauffeur to the original superstar. This will be too good to miss.
