Actor Shah rukh Khan tweeted out on Friday that he was detained by the US immigration department. His tweet also mentioned how he made the most of it by keeping himself busy with the popular augmented reality game, Pokémon Go.

Nisha Biswal, the Assistant Secretary of State in US State Department, responded to SRK’s tweet with a ‘sorry’ that, however, didn’t really sound like one.

SRK however, replied to her graciously.

Rich Verma, the US ambassador to India, also addressed an apologetic tweet to Shah Rukh.

SRK thanked him for his concern as well.

In 2012, immigration officials detained Shah Rukh Khan at the New York airport for over two hours before letting him go after “profound” apologies.

Whenever I start feeling too arrogant about myself, I always take a trip to America. The immigration guys kick the star out of stardom.

Khan was detained by US immigration officials at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey in 2009 because his name came up on a computer alert list. He was questioned and was not even allowed to make a phone call for nearly an hour.
