After AR Rahman gave a grand start to the Royal Stag Barrel Select MTV Unplugged last week, we’ll next see one of Bollywood’s most popular female playback singers, Shreya Ghoshal, performing on the sixth season of the show.

The singer will be performing on 6 timeless classics and one of them will be Lata Mangeshkar’s famous ghazal Rasm- e- ulfat-ko nibhayein... composed by the one and only Madan Mohan.

Speaking about singing Lata ji’s ghazal, Shreya said:

Ever since I began my journey in music, Lata Ji has been one of my biggest inspirations. I am extremely honoured to be performing a ghazal originally sung by her and composed by the legendary Madan Mohan saab. It’s a beautiful haunting song with very soulful lyrics by Naqsh Lyallpur ji, which leaves the heart with an incomprehensible emotion. I will be performing the unplugged version of ‘Rasm-e-ulfat ko nibhayein’. It’s an attempt to go unplugged with a ghazal very close to my heart and I really hope everyone likes this effort.
