One of the most awaited Kannada films this year Shivarajkumar starrer Vajrakaya is grabbing attention with interesting cameos from all four South Indian film industries. The introduction song in Vajrakaya will feature Kannada actor Ravichandran, Malayalam star Dileep, Telugu superstar Ravi Tejaa and the upcoming Tamil star Siva Karthikeyan, all of them will be seen shaking a leg with Shivarajkumar. The song penned by Nagendra Prasad has been choreographed by Harsha.

“It was a mind-blowing experience. It wouldn’t have been possible to get them all together if not for Shivanna. They have great regards for him. He personally coordinated their visit. Siva Karthikeyan even called Shivanna his guru,” says Harsha, the choreographer-turned-director of the film.

Vajrakaya will also feature a song sung by Tamil actor Dhanush, marking his debut in Kannada. “It’s a very peppy song called ‘No Problem.’ We are planning to shoot it in Italy this month end” reveals Harsha.

The filmmaker hopes that the presence of stars from other film industries might increase the visibility of Kannada films. “There are lot of Kannadigas everywhere, yet our films do not have a big market. Even Malayalam films are finding wider markets these days. Besides a few legends like Vishnuvardhan or Ambarish, most people do not even know our artistes. Roping in artistes from other industries might change that a bit,” says a hopeful Harsha.

Nabha Natesh, the leading lady in Vajrakaya

Former model Nabha Nagesh will debut as a heroine in Vajrakaya.  “She has rocked in the film. She gets to ride horses and smoke beedis, I’m sure people will love her character,” the filmmaker divulges.

Harsha’s earlier film Bhajrangi with Shivarajkumar was a box-office blockbuster and naturally the expectations are already high on Vajrakaya. “After working with Shivanna, I want to work with him again and again. In fact, I even write scripts these days keeping him in mind. This one will be 2 hours and 20 minutes of sheer entertainment,” Harsha assures.
