Shilpa Shetty was trending and how on Twitter on Monday. The actress’ quote to a newspaper in which she recommended books for children got seriously trolled online. Shilpa had reportedly rated George Orwell’s political satire Animal Farm, as a book that “can teach little ones to love and care for animals”.

After the hashtag #ShilpaShettyReviews became a top trend ridiculing the actress’ knowledge about the Orwell classic, Shilpa tweeted to clarify her comment.

Shilpa candidly admitted that she had never read any of the books mentioned in her quote including LOTR, Harry Potter and Animal Farm. She attributed her comment to a ‘misunderstanding’ and hoped that ‘This too shall pass’. We’re sure it will.
