Shahid Kapoor to Shoot the Title Track of Udta Punjab

The title track of Udta Punjab might be shot as a live stage performance.

Shahid Kapoor is gearing up to shoot the title track of his upcoming film Udta Punjab this week as a live stage performance. The film deals with the issue of drug abuse and also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. The title track is meant to serve as a promotional video featuring Tommy Singh, the character essayed by Shahid. The song has been choreographed by Bosco Martis and the film’s makers have reportedly decided to call in a few of Shahid’s real fans to watch him perform live in his rockstar avatar.

While we saw a bit of the track in the film’s trailer, we can’t wait to see more of Shahid’s craziest character yet. Udta Punjab will hit theatres on June 17th. Read the full Indian Express report here.
