1. Since I’m Adamant and Stubborn, I Will Make Another Ra.One for Sure: SRK

Actor Shah Rukh Khan said that he is adamant and stubborn about making another film like the 2011 science fiction superhero film Ra.One. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Ra.One featured Shah Rukh as scientist Shekhar Subramanium, and a humanoid robot G.One. The film also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Rampal. Despite being backed by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the film was a major let down at the box office and received mostly negative reviews from critics. However, the Fan star said that he will give another shot to a film like Ra.One.

I would like to give another shot to <i>Ra.One</i>. I hope I am not too old to do it because I thought as a team it was a step forward in film making. Lot of people may not think so, but I know filmmaking and perhaps it didn’t go well. So I would like to give it another shot to win the hearts. It will be interesting to make one, but at this point of time we don’t have any story. <i>Ra.One</i> didn’t go to the level that I wanted it to, but films like <i>Krrish</i> and all encourage you. If we can get a good mix and blow your mind alike, when you see a <i>Spider Man movie </i>you are like ‘wow’. I hope we can do something like that in India. I will give it a shot.

2. Varun Dhawan Turns 29, Bollywood Peeps Flood Him With Birthday Wishes

Varun Dhawan, who made his debut in the year 2012 with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, celebrates his 29th birthday on April 24th. It’s been only four years in the film industry, but the Dilwale actor has already won millions of heart within a short span of time. Varun Dhawan’s father, filmmaker David Dhawan, hosted a birthday bash for the actor, which was attended by his Bollywood buddies including Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandes, Ayan Mukerji, Parineeti Chopra and others. Twitter of course was flooded with praise and good wishes for the actor.

Varun cut a Captain America themed birthday cake too. 

3. Housefull 3 Trailer is Out!

The just released trailer of Housefull 3 is replete with multiple wisecracks, physical comedy and some visually delightful scenic shots of London not to forget the three stunning divas, Lisa Haydon, Nargis Fakhri and Jacqueline Fernandez. Housefull 3 retains Akshay Kumar (who makes a swashbuckling entry hanging from a flying helicopter), Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani and Chunkey Pandey. Abhishek Bachchan is the new addition to the club. Adding zing to the movie is the inimitable Jackie Shroff who was in his elements at the trailer launch.

4. Quantico Production Moves to New York City

The makers of the Priyanka Chopra starrer American thriller series Quantico have relocated the production of the popular TV series from Canada to New York, after getting lured by the state’s lucrative production-incentive program. With the move, the ABC drama will receive a tax credit that will cover nearly 30% of all aspects of production.

Parts of Quantico, a suspense drama about a rogue federal agent Alex Parrish (Priyanka), are set in New York. But the show’s pilot was shot in Atlanta. Shooting for the remainder of season one occurred in Montreal, although some aspects of the show, including its writing staff, were based in New York.

The New York state government estimates that the move will bring more than 200 jobs to the city. According to city officials, 46 episodic TV shows are now being shot in New York, up from 29 from last year.

ABC renewed Quantico last month along with a significant number of its current series. Read the full Variety report here.

5. Prince Cremated, Remains Kept at a Secret Location

Music icon Prince’s body was cremated and a private memorial service was held in Minnesota on April 23rd. The late singer’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said the small service was attended by the rockstar’s family, friends and fellow musicians.

A few hours ago, Prince was celebrated by a small group of his most beloved: family, friends and his musicians, in a private, beautiful ceremony to say a loving goodbye. Prince’s remains have been cremated and their final storage will remain private. We ask for your blessings and prayers of comfort for his family and close friends at this time. The cause of death remains unknown and it will be at least four weeks before we receive the results of the autopsy. An announcement will be made at a future date for a musical celebration.

No more details were released but it was suspected that the memorial service was held at Paisley Park, Chanhassen, Minnesota. Bassist Larry Graham were spotted at the singer’s studio compound along with Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson and brother-in-law Maurice Phillips.

An autopsy was completed on Friday. A representative for the Medical Examiner’s Office said there were no obvious signs of trauma to his body and nothing to indicate a suicide. Toxicology tests results will not be available until several weeks. The pop legend, renowned for his stamina and prolific musical output, died suddenly on Thursday at his Paisley Park estate outside Minneapolis. He was 57.
