Salman Khan is ready to share the screen with Jacqueline Fernandez for the second time in Remo D’ Souza’s yet-untitled dance film. The Tubelight actor spilled the beans about the upcoming film in a recent interview with Indian Express. Bhai shared that the film revolves around a father who learns to dance to fulfill his daughter’s wish that he participate in a dance competition.

2. Saif Ali Khan Is in ‘Sacred Games’, India’s First Netflix Original

Soon after its entry in the Indian entertainment realm in 2016, Netflix had announced its first original series in the country based on Vikram Chandra’s book Sacred Games.

It has now announced via Twitter that Saif Ali Khan will play the lead in the series.

Anurag Kashyap’s production house Phantom House has also been roped in to produce the series which will be directed by Kashyap. Based on the eponymous novel, Sacred Games will be an exploration of Mumbai’s underbelly infested with delinquents, corruption, fierce criminals and sexual escapades.

The Hindi vs Tamil war is escalating by leaps and bounds. People from the music industry are now responding to the bizarre turn of events that saw some Indians tweeting against AR Rahman performing Tamil songs during his UK concert on 8 July. Though the ‘Mozart of Madras’ performed several Hindi numbers as well, some members of the audience were unhappy about having to “sit through” Tamil songs.

4.‘Dilli Ki Raat’ Brings Back the ‘Baap’ of Disco, Bappi Lahiri

Another song from Madhur Bhandarkar’s much-awaited film Indu Sarkar is out, and Dilli Ki Raat is an ode to the 70s disco. Sung by the man who largely shaped the genre in Bollywood, Dilli Ki Raat is a groovy number reminiscent of several Bappi Lahiri and RD Burman numbers.

The number starts with the declaration ‘Salaam karo dost, ki baap aaye hain’, and you are left wondering throughout whether singer Bappi Lahiri is talking about himself or Sanjay Gandhi, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh. Add to that a thorough retro overdose with bell-bottoms, wigs, disco lights and a very “golden” Bappi Lahiri - and you know what we are talking about.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Mere Rakshe Qamar has got a second life in Ajay Devgn-Emraan Hashmi’s Baadshaho. The beautiful rendition by his nephew Rahat Fateh Ali Khan strikes the right chord, supported amply by beautiful visuals. The video depicts a montage of Ileana D'Cruz and Ajay Devgn falling in love with each other as they go about their daily lives.
