On Wednesday, when Salman Khan was asked to give his view on the ‘intolerance’ issue that has stirred the entire nation, the star decided to tackle it differently. Here’s what he said:

I can only say that my mother is Susheela Charak and my father is Salim Khan.

When he was further probed to give a more elaborate answer, he couldn’t resist being his usual self.

I repeat again, my mother is Susheela Charak, my father is Salim Khan. I am Salman Khan and she is Sonam Kapoor. Hum sab yahaan ek saath baithey hain, koi farq padta hai kya?

While Salman was being bombarded with questions about intolerance and being asked to comment on Shah Rukh Khan’s opinion on it, Salman’s co-star came to his rescue and offered this comment:

Anything that is intolerant or anything that is said without correct evidence is completely unacceptable. So people just saying things in the name of religion, class, creed is totally disgusting.

Salman and Sonam were in the capital, which witnessed some Bollywood action as the lead actors of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo launched a new song from the film. And guess who was keen to choose Delhi as the launch pad? None other than Sallu bhai.

With the rare celebrity appearances that Delhi witnesses, Salman’s entry was sure to be a grand hit. And, so it was. Thousands of crazy fans thronged Amity University where the lead stars of PRDP shook a leg and entertained them.

Later in the evening, Salman and Sonam were seen at Le Meridien, in the capital, to launch the song Aaj Unse Milna Hai from the film. The song is a picturisation of a confused Prem not being able to decide what gift to purchase for his beloved Maithili who he has to meet. The overt display of delectable food will leave the ardent foodie in you craving the jalebis and other sweets but that’s just where its appeal ends.
