Sachin: A Billion Dreams collected a total of Rs 8.4 crore at the box-office on Friday. Since it’s a docu-drama riding on the popularity of the legendary cricketer alone, the 8 crore + collection is historic. Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, called the film’s box-office performance “impressive”.
The film was released in 5 languages in 2,800 screens worldwide of which 2,540 were in India.
At Rs 8.4 crore, Sachin: A Billion Dreams becomes the 8th highest opening day earner this year after films like Baahubali, Raees, Jolly LLB 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Half Girlfriend, Fast and Furious 8 and Kaabil.
