Yes, Sarkar 3 is out and Ram Gopal Varma was heavily inspired by The Godfather to make his desi version of the cult classic. But it isn’t just Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 film that influenced RGV, going by the filmmaker’s statements and comments, a huge part of Bachchan’s character as Sarkar is borrowed from the late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray.
