The ‘Tamasha’ trailer begs to be asked the question which is also the film’s tagline - Why Always the Same Story?

Yes, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor share some infectious chemistry in Tamasha, but from what we’ve seen of the trailer, the narrative of the film traverses the same old beaten ‘boy meets girl’ path we’ve seen in most of Bollywood’s new age romantic dramas.

Let’s hope we’re mistaken and Imtiaz Ali ups the game this time round. We’ve already seen Ranbir and Deepika light up the screen in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, we now want all that role-playing in Corsica and existential introspection to take this drama to another level.

The makers of Tamasha sure wouldn’t want to be accosted by their own film’s tagline - ‘Why Always the Same Story’?
