1. Team Tamasha Celebrates ‘Favourable Response’ to the Film
On Monday night, team Tamasha celebrated the audience’s ‘favourable response’ to the film at Olive, in Mumbai. The film has got mixed reviews and the word of mouth is mixed too. The collections have only reached Rs 38 cr in its first weekend and it looks like it will be tough for the producers to recover its cost. We are told since Ranbir Kapoor leaves the same night for a long schedule of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the team decided to do an event to boost the dipping collections. Only time will tell if the concept of a ‘favourable response party’ works in their favour.
2. Internet Goes Berserk From ‘Slap Aamir’ to ‘Kiss Aamir’
Aamir Khan has been making news since he commented on the intolerance issue. Over the weekend Aamir Khan’s online haters started a website (slapaamir.com) where one could slap the actor’s picture, the image would change to him bleeding.
By the end of the Monday his supporters came up with a website (kissaamir.com) where one could kiss Aamir and show your support for the actor. The entire episode just proves that people really need jobs in India.
3. Varun Dhawan to Team Up With Zoya Akhtar?
Among the younger set of actors, Varun Dhawan is the only one with a hundred percent success record. So far all his films have done well and his next film Dilwale is likely to keep his record going. The actor seems to making the right choices while signing films, and now it looks like Varun will be teaming up with Zoya Akhtar next. Varun tweeted a picture of Zoya without revealing much, the #comingsoon hashtag got us wondering.
4. Sidharth Malhotra To Play a Writer in Kapoor & Sons
We hear that Sidharth Malhotra maintains a diary of everything that he does, but it also might be working as an ideal prop for his role in Kapoor & Sons, in which he plays a writer. The diary that he carries with himself, has his thoughts and experiences, which he jots down as and when he gets the time. Kapoor & Sons stars Alia Bhatt opposite Sidharth and is directed by Shakun Batra.
5. Russian Director Eldar Ryazanov Dies at 88
One of Russia’s most popular directors from the older generation, Eldar Ryazanov died in Moscow on Monday, November 30. He was 88.
Ryazanov died of heart failure in a hospital where he had spent over a weak due to respiratory problems. The Russian news agency TASS reported his death. He was best known movie was the 1975 TV film Ironiya sudby, ili S lyogkim parom (The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!). Ryazanov’s final project was a 2006 TV remake of Carnival Night.
