2. Here’s How Rishi Kapoor Transformed into the Adorable Dadu of Kapoor & Sons

Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Rajat Kapoor couldn’t recognise Rishi Kapoor after multiple Oscar winning makeup specialist Greg Cannom was done with him, for Kapoor & Sons. Karan Johar’s team at Dharma Productions shared this behind-the-scenes video of how it was all done. Greg Cannom works on Rishi Kapoor’s face, hands and overall look very painstakingly. He even explains in this video that what goes into achieving this look, is patience. Rishi Kapoor hopes that his Dadu look will win Greg his fourth Oscar.

Rs 1.5 Lac have been spent on creating Kapoor’s look for the family drama. Sidharth Malhotra couldn’t resist poking his face out of curiosity. Check out this two minute video if you’re curious.

3. This is What Mira Rajput Looks Like Through Hubby Shahid Kapoor’s Eyes

Shahid Kapoor shared an abstract painting-like picture of wife Mira via his Instagram account. Looks like she’s standing behind frosted glass but Shahid thinks it’s nothing less than a painting. With Valentines Day around the corner, I guess we can ignore Shahid’s PDA for Mira, and his blurred vision too :P

The Rangoon actor shared the picture urging fans to see his wife through his eyes. Now, why would you want anyone to do that Shahid? On second thoughts, this click is a good break from Shahid Kapoor’s selfie obsession.

4. Censor Board Kills Deadpool with Seven Cuts

Thanks to the CBFC’s chopping obsession, this week’s Hollywood release Deadpool is only left with fart jokes. There was a lot of nail-biting suspense over the fate of the superhero blockbuster, with its content being panned and banned in several parts of the world including China, where the film has been stopped. Though CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani claims that he’s been liberal with the Hollywood flick by suggesting only seven cuts. Most of the profanity is gone. References to male and female reproductive organs have been removed. A love-making scene has been shortened as usual. Shots of a head being blown and a hand being chopped off have been severed. The same goes for a scene at a strip club where the amount of nudity has been greatly reduced. All this despite the ‘Adult’ certification that the film has been given.

We have made very general cuts. If you look at what has happened to <i>Deadpool</i> in China, it was apparently banned because any number of cuts was seen to hamper the storyline of the film. I can assure you the cuts we’ve requested in no way affect the storytelling. We are very clear that films made for adult viewing won’t be cut if they do not contravene censorial guidelines.
Pahlaj Nihalani, CBFC Chief

It seems Mr Nihalani forgot all about the seven cuts forced upon Deadpool while giving that statement. We should be used to this by now, right?

5. Peter Mukherjea Sends Legal Notice to Censor Board Over Film Based on Sheena Bora

Peter Mukherjea’s lawyers have slapped a legal notice on the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demanding that Dark Chocolate, a film loosely based on the Sheena Bora murder case, should be held back from release till the accused get to see it. The media czar is worried that Kolkata based director Agnidev Chatterjee’s work of fiction will reflect badly on those involved, who have not been proved guilty yet.

The film is expected to be released in March. Mahima Chaudhury, Riya Sen, Rajesh Sharma and Sudip Mukherjee have acted in the film.

The film’s director is enraged by the new development.

I don’t know why they have approached the censor board. They should have appealed to the court and sought an injunction. This is just harassment. They are asking the censor board to let them watch the film.&nbsp;The notice says that whatever is in the film might resemble Peter Mukherjea’s life. It’s a dangerous statement. Does that mean they are saying (that) whatever we have shown in the film is actually what happened to him. Dark Chocolate is also a fiction film.
Agnidev Chatterjee, Filmmaker

The film’s producer Pradip Churiwal told the media that since the film has not been shown to anybody, there’s no way that Peter Mukherjea could know of what stand it takes.

The notice is marked to the CBFC not to issue any certificate for public exhibition. The allegations are unfounded and arbitrary. The notice says they have gathered information through friends and well wishers. We have not shown the film to anybody... how can they know the content of the film.&nbsp;

6. Fitoor’s Tabu Talks About Her Biggest Regret with Bollywood

Tabu plays one of the greatest characters in literature as Begun, inspired by Miss Havisham of Great Expectations (Photo: Fitoor film still)

As Tabu is riding high on the appreciation she’s getting for her performance in Fitoor, but the actress says that the one thing she regrets about her filmi journey is that, it has been extremely tough. She spoke to the media about the ups and downs that come with being a film star:

Bollywood has been a tough journey for me. I wish it was not so hard. Films are just a part of it. There is more you are experiencing, your life is open to public, anybody can say anything about you, those are the things that affected me a lot. This world taught me a lot and influenced the way I became. The love, admiration and support I have received from so many people would not have been possible if I was not in this profession, that’s a great side to it.&nbsp;
Tabu, Actress

Tabu’s biggest source of strength has been her mother. She credits her for having been her emotional anchor. Tabu is one of the industry’s finest actors and that’s probably because she doesn’t believe in roles being big or small, but the character has to be significant.

My mother has been my emotional anchor through out. Apart from her, it was my survival instinct that made me stay. I have put in a lot of hard work to shape my career. Probably I am just getting repaid for the contribution and energy I have put in my profession. Plus, I have kept my doors open. If it is a great role I will do it. I will not leave a role because it is of a mother or a sister.

Tabu also told the media that when she has a script, she doesn’t feel the need to read the novel that it is based on.

There is a lot of baggage when the character is from literature. Everybody has their own interpretation, opinion about how the character should be played. However, when the film comes everything becomes redundant. I have always approached the role according to the script. Because there are times when I will not even know the literature I might be doing. I don’t feel the need to read the novel when I have a script. It really helps in getting away from the ‘baggage’.
