The latest instalment of Quantico is called “Care”, but they care two hoots about the dozen questions that keep popping up in our heads with every passing episode.

“Amul Macho – Bade Aaramse” seems to have inspired the narrative this time, as “bade aaramse” Shelby stuns us with her credulity by believing every word of the story her parents weave together explaining their disappearance.

“Bade aaramse” Caleb decides on his own that the parents must be paid 5 million dollars and asked to never come back and equally “aaramse”, Alex and Simon don’t just manage to track down the nameless person the CIA is holding, but also release him from captivity “bade aaramse.”

Alex is quintessentially the girl our parents warned us against. Her exploits in this episode too prove this beyond a doubt. Always getting into some kind of trouble or the other, she ensures that anyone and everyone with her must also follow suit.

After Ryan, Natalie, and Hannah, it now seems like Simon will bear the brunt of being by her side and we can only hope that’s not the case.

The flashbacks keep as entertained and the task that the NATs are engaged in will also keep us glued to our TV sets. They have been given the task of crossing over into the USA over the Canadian border, minus passport or IDs.

Lots of fun moments follow, but much to the chagrin of Pehlaj Nehlani and his sanskaari self, Alex and Drew come dangerously close and spending an intimate night together. Ah, such videshi scenes corrupting our pure and pious desi
souls. Tsk tsk!

But this episode is adorned with some very precious gems that you wouldn’t want to miss if you are a loyal viewer; like the scene when we meet the much-in-demand captive held hostage by the CIA, or the moment the identity of the driver of the car (the terrorist, apparently sent) is revealed! We surely did not see this coming!

*Spoiler Alert* Reader’s discretion advised beyond this point.

Will, who was last seen helping Caleb track down Sistemics, is the guy the terrorist wants – add to that the fact that he has been held captive by the CIA for 7 months!

This one was a huge shock, but not as big as the jolt we received when we saw Shelby driving the car that the terrorist sent to Alex.

Is she The Voice on the phone? Or has she too been forcibly sucked into the entire mess like Alex? Are Caleb and the whole cult group Sistemics also part of the terror outfit?

Final Verdict!

Things are, at last, heating up! Too many unanswered questions and the delectable suspense ensure that we can’t tear ourselves away from the series just yet. I’ll give Episode 17 a thumbs up! Hope the next instalment gives us more answers than questions. After all, it’s long overdue!
