Priyanka Chopra Sounds Sinister as Kaa in Disney’s The Jungle Book

Priyanka Chopra sounds rather ominous as Kaa the serpent in Disney’s special effects epic The Jungle Book. Yup, the Hindi trailer is out and Priyanka Chopra is playing the part that Scarlett Johansson plays in the English version.

Though it’s the same teaser as we saw before, this one is dubbed and we finally get to hear Priyanka Chopra. Unfortunately, we don’t quite know what magic Irrfan Khan and Om Puri will bring to the dubbed version yet. Priyanka Chopra shared the Hindi teaser with much excitement via Twitter. To be honest, while she sounds slithering and sinister enough, she doesn’t come close to Scarlett Johansson’s sultry Kaa. But, we’re willing to reserve our judgement till we watch the film, because PeeCee has a knack of growing on us all.

But we can’t wait for the film to release on April 8th. Nana Patekar, Om Puri, Irrfan Khan have voiced other major characters in the Hindi version of this Jon Favreau film, based on the celebrated Rudyard Kipling novel.
