South Indian Superstar Prabhas is back with another power-packed performance. This time, he will be seen in a Telugu action thriller film ‘Saaho’.
The film has already created quite the buzz on social media and people are waiting to see him in action, following his blockbuster films ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’.
But, have you ever wondered what ‘Saaho’ actually means? Read further to find out:
What Does ‘Saaho’ Mean ?
‘Saaho’ is a Telugu word which loosely translates to “I bow to you” or “long live the...”. It is used for praising a leader among men, or as an exhortation to move forward.
It’s basically the Telugu version of saying “Zindabad” or “Jio” in Hindi.
On being asked the same question by Comedian Kapil Sharma on the ‘The Kapil Sharma Show ’, Prabhas replied by saying that ‘Saaho’ means ‘Jai Ho’.
Saahore Baahubali...
Remember the highly dramatic “Jio Re Bahubali” song from ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’? This was Mahendra Baahubali’s (played by Prabhas) ’hero entry song’ in the film. Guaranteed goosebumps the first time anyone saw it on the big screen!
It’s actually translated from “Saahore Bahubali”, from the Telugu version of the film.
‘Saaho’ also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff and several other actors from across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema.
