Kalabhavan Mani Passes Away: Condolences Pour in

One of Malayalam and Tamil cinema’s most popular character actors, Kalabhavan Mani passed away in Kochi on Sunday, at the age of 45. Mani, who started off as a mimicry artist, went on to do character roles before becoming a popular villain and then a hero in several Malayalam films.

Apart from acting, Mani was a talented folk singer as well and had lent his voice to films as a playback singer. According to sources at the Amrita Insititute of Medical Sciences in Kochi, the actor was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night and he died due to liver and kidney ailments at 7.15 pm on Sunday.

The PM as well as several members of the film industry reacted with shock to Kalabhavan Mani’s sudden death.
