Pablo Escobar’s brother, Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria doesn’t seem too fond of Netflix. After the body of Narcos’ location manager was found in a bullet-ridden car in Mexico, Roberto Escobar has “warned” Netflix to not send their crew without proper security measures. Escobar went ahead to suggest that Netflix should provide “hitmen” to protect Narcos’ crew members.

As the former accountant of the Medellín Cartel, Roberto Escobar (nicknamed El Osito) has been firm on the grounds that it would be “very dangerous” to film content relating to Escobar Inc and his late brother “without his blessing”.

The real Escobar vs the reel Escobar.
If you have the intellect, you don’t need to use weapons. If not, you have to. In this case, Netflix should provide hitmen to their people as security... I don’t want Netflix or any other film production company to film any movies in Medellin or Colombia that relates to me or my brother Pablo without authorisation from Escobar Inc. It is very dangerous. Especially without our blessing. This is my country.
Roberto Escobar (El Osito), in an exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter

Carlos Munoz, 37, was reportedly scouting for apt locations as the fourth installation of Narcos will soon start rolling out. Since the show is set to transition from Colombia to Mexico, Munoz was killed in an area that is known for drug-related murders.
