In a Twitter Q&A with The Times of India, Naseeruddin Shah revealed that he was almost going to be the headmaster of Hogwarts! Many actors were being considered for the role after the untimely death of actor Richard Harris who played Albus Dumbledore in the first two films of the Harry Potter franchise.

Shah revealed that his agent had wanted him to audition for the part in the film, which eventually went to Michael Gambon, who played the Hogwarts headmaster for 6 Potter films.

My agent wanted me to audition for Dumbledore’s character after Richard Harris died. I was asked if I would like to audition for it. But I wouldn’t audition for it,
