US rapper T-Pain has been accused of plagiarising his new single ‘That’s Yo Money’ from the Hindi song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ featured in the 2013 Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Aashiqui 2. A flute melody used in T-Pain’s song is very similar to the iconic tune from ‘Tum Hi Ho’. The film’s director Mohit Suri was the first to bring attention to the issue and now music composer Mithoon has called out the rapper as well. Check it out yourself.

T-Pain got a lot of attention and trolling from Indian fans after which ‘That’s Yo Money’ has been removed from his YouTube channel. He tweeted about the controversy saying that he did not produce the song and had never heard ‘Tum Hi Ho’ before. He added that it was a small matter and his label was looking into it.

Meanwhile Mithoon told Mumbai Mirror that he checked with T-Series and the tune was not taken with permission. Allegedly the Indian label plans to take legal action.
