Music brings the world closer and what better way to celebrate it than on 21 June, World Music Day. The day is also known as Fete de la Musique after a music festival that began in France in 1982. It is said that the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang conceived the idea of music through this fest and since then, it has been celebrated as World Music Day. The song is based on a Kashmiri folk song for kids.

The Quint decided to spend the day with one of B-Town’s favourite playback singer Shaan who has given us some of the biggest all-time hits. When we met Shaan he shared the first Hindi song that he sang as a child and it was not an easy one. Shaan is not only a good singer, but he also has a hidden talent and that is mimcry. He can mimic every singer possible. So we named a few and he mimicked them like a pro. It is not just Shaan but even his thirteen year old son Shub is also a singer. He made his singing debut with his father in a single called Hukus Bukus.

Shaan is set to release a song called Bajne Do Night and Day with his other singer friends from the industry using a variety of musical instruments from across the world.
