John Mayer just dropped the most bizarre music video for his song, New Light which might topple Childish Gambino from its number 1 position! The video, with incredible (read: tacky) graphics and many Johns in one frame wearing track pants and a sweat-shirt hanging out with zebras, is so bad, it’s really good.
As John writes it himself, it’s Premium Content. Take a look:
Accompanying the video on his social media, John gives the reason for choosing to make his video stand-out from the crowd (which it does).
“I needed to make a video for New Light but nobody could agree on a budget. (MUSIC INDUSTRY amirite?) So I went to a place downtown and made this with a company that usually does birthday and Bar Mitzvah videos”.
