Raazi’s makers have now released a “making” video of their first-to-be-released song, “Ae Watan”. The beautiful patriotic number sung by Arijit Singh has been getting rave reviews.

Penned by Gulzar and composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the number - as Alia Bhatt says - induces goosebumps. Find out how it was made:

“Ae Watan”, the first song of Raazi, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, is a soulful number and an ode to one’s love for the country and how one would go to any lengths for the same.

Producer Karan Johar shared the song on social media.

Raazi is being directed by Meghna Gulzar and is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat. Produced by Karan Johar and Junglee Pictures, the film is a thriller set during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war with Alia Bhatt playing the role of a Kashmiri spy who marries into a Pakistani family. Vicky Kaushal plays the role of a Pakistani army officer who is besotted by Alia’s character and marries her.

Raazi releases on 11 May.
