A friend in need is a friend indeed!

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap just proved this on Sunday when he spoke out in support of his Bombay Velvet buddy Karan Johar. Kashyap demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologises for his visit to Pakistan in December 2015.

Kashyap’s Twitter rant comes after a cinema owners’ body decided not to screen films with Paksitani artistes. The decision could hurt Johar’s upcoming release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The 44-year-old filmmaker took to Twitter and fired a series of questions at PM Modi, who is currently at the BRICS summit in Goa.

Cherry on the cake!

But Modi need not worry about Kashyap’s rants, he’s got Madhur Bhandarkar to take care of it. The Page 3 director slammed his filmy mitra and defended BJP and Modi.

Ab ki baar, Madhur Bhandarkar!

On Friday, the Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) decided that they won't release films starring actors from Pakistan in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa.

This has led to uncertainty over the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as it features Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan.

Earlier, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena had threatened Pakistani actors to quit India.
