According to reports, members of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) met with the MNS to request them to allow the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees. Both these films feature Pakistani actors in them.

Fawad Khan stars in Karan Johar’s ADHM while Mahira Khan has been cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. However, the MNS has refused to back down from their protests against these films.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai and directed by Karan Johar is scheduled to release on 28 October, while Raees is expected to hit theatres on 26 January next year. It remains to be seen if the film industry comes to an understanding with the political party to allow for the smooth release of these films.
