The French have done it again. Iris Mittenaere, Miss France and a dental surgeon in-training, has been crowned as the 65th Miss Universe. She was one of the 86 contestants. Iris Mittenaere hails from Lille, a small region in the North of France, but is a proud Parisian. She hopes that the crown will help her create more awareness about dental hygiene and every child’s right to education, as does her personal campaign. The last time France won the crown was in 1953. Quite the wait, wasn’t it France?
