Ram Gopal Varma is back - both on Twitter and on a hand-held screen near you. The filmmaker, who took a break from social media, returns with a new film titled God, Sex and Truth (that news-appropriately finds a suitable abbreviation in GST). And the only reason HE’s making news this time is because he’s got popular adult film actor Mia Malkova to play along for what he says is “...neither a film, nor a short film nor a series ...it’s about Mia Malkova speaking about Sex and how much it means to her.

The trailer calls God, Sex and Truth “a philosophical treatise of Mia Malkova” and once you sit through the entire 3 odd minutes of it, you can easily conclude that it’s nothing but RGV’s pretentious attempt to openly intellectually masturbate about sex, while letting his camera ogle over every inch of Mia.

Ummm... so basically Ramu just went out and did what he was always itching to do under the guise of filmmaking, remember those creepy, voyeuristic in-your-face camera moves all over Mahie Gill in Not a Love Story? There were also much subtler attempts on Urmila and Antara Mali before.

The GST trailer picks out some quotable quotes, which Mia addresses to her audience with a total dead pan face.

Sample these:

“I as a woman, not my eyes, not my mouth, not my breasts, not my c***, not my a****** I am a conscious being and each and every part of my body is nature given asset designed for various functions including sexual desire.”
Mia Malkova
“It should never be what it is , it should always be what it could be and what it could be said Ayn Rand. Could is an aim and should be is a destination.”
Mia Malkova
“A woman to be restricted to one man is being barbaric to the very existence of her sexual being, because she is being restricted from being herself.”
Mia Malkova

If that wasn’t enough, the trailer is also littered with quotes from Sigmund Freud, Henry Miller, Hugh Hefner and Woody Allen (uh oh!) among others - just to make it look like it isn’t a trivial piece of excuse for a brain dead, pretentious fap aid .

With every film that Ram Gopal Varma has been pushing out since 2010, comes the reaction that that the filmmaker has “officially lost it”, and it’s more evident with his latest outing. But, RGV believes he’s on a social mission with God, Sex and Truth. His aim, in his own words is to “...make people lose both their hypocrisy and their guilt to become free willed sexual beings and just immerse themselves in a sea of sexual joy.

And to meet that end:

“The camera will literally worship not only every square inch of her extraordinary body but it also captures her every thought in the process of projecting it in almost a spiritual context within her deeply felt and also inbuilt sexual emotions.”
Ram Gopal Varma

God, Sex and Truth will be released online (collective sigh by film critics) on, wait for it... 26 January.

On another note, it’s 2018 - twenty years since RGV’s Satya. Just saying.
