Meena Kumari’s Biopic is On, Deepika Padukone for the Lead Anyone?

The long waiting Meena Kumari biopic has finally been given a go-ahead. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Abundantia Entertainment, which produced Baby and Airlift will be bankrolling the film based on Vinod Mehta’s book Meena Kumari: The Classic Biography. While earlier there was talk of Kangana Ranaut doing the film, now, with a new producer on board the casting slate has been wiped clean.
We decided to play around with this iconic image of the tragedy queen from Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam and see which actress might do justice to the role.
