In this week’s episode of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver talks about the UK Elections that was pretty much the agenda of last week. From May’s disappointing win in the elections, to Corbyn’s fail attempt at a high-five on national television and pet passports, Oliver delivers it all in his impeccable sense of humour.
Oliver’s description of Boris Johnson is on point:
He then goes on to talk about May’s ambiguous stance on Brexit, that she explains through colour schemes drawn from the Union Jack, and the British media’s attempt at explaining Brexit through – wait for it – cheese!
The highlight of the episode, however, has to be Lord Buckethead, who stood against Theresa May in Maidenhead, her constituency, making an appearance in the last few seconds of the show.
Hailing Lord Buckethead to be the ‘new negotiator for Brexit’, Oliver rallies his support for this ‘intergalactic spacelord’, who wants the abolition of lords (except himself).
And true to Oliver’s support, Lord Buckethead might be the only one who made sense regarding the difficulty of the Brexit negotiations:
Well, at this rate, Lord Buckethead might indeed be a fitting candidate to take forward the Brexit negotiations.
