Rose is rooting loudly for Jack at the Oscars this year.
At the London Critics Circle Film Awards, where Kate Winslet won ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her role in Steve Jobs, the actress told the media that she’d be really surprised if Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t win the award for Best Actor for The Revenant, at the Academy Awards, later this year.
Leo has been nominated five times in the category and Winslet feels rather strongly that 2016 is going to be his year at the Oscars.
DiCaprio’s lead role in survival drama The Revenant faces competition from Bryan Cranston (Trumbo), Matt Damon (The Martian), Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl) and Winslet’s (Steve Jobs) co-star Michael Fassbender.
DiCaprio, 41, won a Golden Globe for The Revenant and is seen by many industry experts as the one who will win the best actor Oscar at the Academy Awards ceremony on February 28th this year.
Winslet, who also starred with DiCaprio in Revolutionary Road in 2008, is nominated in the best supporting actress category for her role in Steve Jobs.
Will Kate’s verdict match that of the Oscar jury? We’re keeping our fingers crossed and so is Leo!
