Priyanka to Star in Netflix Superhero Movie ‘We Can Be Heroes’
Robert Rodriguez will direct the kid superhero film.
Priyanka Chopra fans have a reason to cheer, as the actor has joined the superhero bandwagon with signing a Netflix sci-fi fantasy, titled We Can Be Heroes. The kid superhero feature will be written and directed by Spy Kids director Robert Rodriguez.
Along with Priyanka, the cast includes Christian Slater, Pedro Pascal, Boyd Holbrook and Sung Kang.
Robert Rodriguez recently helmed Alita: Battle Angel, Spy Kids and Red 11. Priyanka Chopra will produce and star in an untitled wedding comedy set in India, co-produced by Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor for Universal. She’ll also be seen in The Sky is Pink, with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. The film is based on the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, and will premiere at Toronto International Film Festival.
In Hollywood, the romantic comedy Isn’t It Romantic opposite Rebel Wilson, Liam Hemsworth and Adam DeVine, was her recent project. Her Marathi production Paani won the award for Best Film on Environment Conservation at the 66th National Film Awards.
The actor-producer took to Twitter to congratulate her team for the same. She tweeted, “ I’m so proud to have produced a special film like #Paani. Congratulations to our director @adinathkothare & to the entire team @PurplePebblePic @madhuchopra @Iamsidchopra for our second National Award.
