Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Netflix production, Bard of Blood, finally has a release date. All episodes of the show will be streaming on 27 September. Bard of Blood stars Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi. On Saturday, Netflix India tweeted a motion poster of the show along with the release date.

“I spy with my little eye a first look at @emraanhashmi in #BardOfBlood. Coming soon,” tweeted Netflix.

Emraan Hashmi also shared the motion poster on his social media. He wrote, “He doesn't exist, so you can. Coming soon, only on @NetflixIndia. #BardOfBlood”

Bard of Blood is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Bilal Siddiqui. The series is produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. On 27 July 2018, Netflix had announced that it had roped in Emraan Hashmi for the role of Kabir Anand.

Emraan too tweeted: "'To be, or not to be'... The answer is to be. Ready 'to be' Kabir Anand. Excited to be a part of this thrilling journey!"

The Bard Of Blood is set against the backdrop of the Indian subcontinent, the multilingual series will tell the story of an expelled spy, Kabir Anand who is recalled from his new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani to save his country and long-lost love.

A combination of combat skills, intellectual background and personal circumstances propel Kabir to avenge the past and face his deadliest enemies in a race against time. The book is written by Bilal Siddiqi who also co-authored Emraan’s autobiographical ‘The Kiss of Life.’
